Call for Papers
The 3rd APIRA International Conference
"Internet Statistics: Utilization and Creativity"

August 9~10, 2006
Taipei

Purpose
Nowadays we more or less have experiences of reading surveys or statistics information provided by media, private sectors or well-known organizations, about the Internet penetration rate, mobile phone usage, user behaviors and so on. Instead of regular numbers, to some people, those figures are the results of government's policies, business opportunities, indications of future development, or reflections of people living quality.

In addition, as the rapid development of the global Internet and technologies, some questions have emerged: How can we take advantage of those new technologies to conduct surveys? What are the better ideas to collect raw data? What are the deeper meanings of these figures? How to use provided information to benefit the society and people?

Therefore, Asia-Pacific Internet Research Alliance (APIRA) has made the following conference theme: Internet Statistics: Utilization and Creativity, in hope to invite scholars, specialists, opinion leaders or anyone who is interested, and to collect correlative papers for discussion and sharing on August 9~10 2006 in Taipei.
