Submission
Authors should submit a one-page abstract, including the
title, author name(s), contact information (e.g., e-mail
and postal addresses, phone numbers, etc.), and institutional
affiliation(s). Preferred format is to use Times New Roman
font, 12 point, in A4 size, with 1 inch in all margins.
Submission should be made by e-mail with attachment (Word)
to conference coordinators Jonathan Zhu (j.zhu@cityu.edu.hk)
or Angus Cheong (anguswhc@umac.mo)
by April 30, 2004.
All submission will be reviewed by a selection panel and
the acceptance will be notified by May
15, 2004 via e-mail. Full papers or PPT
presentation files are due on August
10, 2004.
Locations and Dates
The conference will be held at the University of Macau on
August 19
and at the City University of Hong Kong on August
20. The travel time between the two venues
is about two hours by ferry and subway trains.
Registration Fee
Free for authors and the public.
Hospitality
Free meals will be provided during the conference period. All
participants are responsible for their transportation from and
to their own places and their accommodation in Macau and Hong
Kong. Conference coordinators will help recommend multiple hotels
at convenient locations with reasonable rates, from which participants
can choose to make their own reservations
Organizer
The Asia-Pacific Internet Research Alliance (APIRA, www.apira.org)
is a consortium of Internet research organizations established
by a group of scholars and professionals from Chinese Mainland,
Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Korea in 2003. Its objectives are
to a) enhance communication and comparison in Asia-Pacific region
on the Internet information; b) deepen the research on statistical
techniques of the Internet information; c) facilitate the cooperation
among Asia-Pacific countries and regions on the Internet information
survey and research; and d) boost the regional development of
the Internet researches.
