ARTICLE IV. Member Meeting


1. Time

Once a year, proposed to be around each August.

2. Host

The members shall host the meetings in turn, starting with submitting the application to the secretariat. In case of receiving more than one application, the Board will coordinate and make the choice; if no application is received, the secretariat will propose one host organization and submit to the Board to make the decision through discussions.

3. Venue

The specific venue shall be determined by the local host.

4. Participants

  1. Member organizations must participate in member meetings. In case of any absence, the member organization shall state the reason one month before the meeting starts;
  2. Participants shall be delegates of the applicant organizations, or other Internet researchers from the Asia Pacific Region;
  3. Local governments, technical institutions and other relevant organizations and units;
  4. Meeting sponsors.

5. Objectives

  1. Sharing the latest research achievements of each members;
  2. Sharing new Internet technologies and phenomenon of each member's state or region;
  3. Sharing statistical technologies on the Internet information;
  4. Discussing on contents and methodologies of the Internet statistical survey for the next year;
  5. Discussing on APIRA's working schedules for the next year.

6. Others

  1. The host may seek for local sponsors or other financial supports;
  2. The member meeting shall not be named as any sponsors;
  3. The meeting materials are filed by the secretariat and are available on APIRA's website.
