5.
Obligations
5.1 Obligations for Regular Member of APIRA (RMA)
-
Attending member meetings;
-
Carrying out APIRA joint survey by regular members of APIRA
(conducting surveys on local Internet development by adopting
uniform survey method);
-
Providing survey results and findings on local Internet
or related issues to APIRA and its website;
-
Maintaining APIRA website, updating local information on
the website;
-
Recommending and promoting new member organizations;
-
Publicizing APIRA, maintaining the image of APIRA and spreading
the influence of APIRA;
-
Proposing reasonable suggestions for the development of
APIRA;
-
Hosting member meetings;
-
Coordinating other members in a friendly manner;
5.2
Obligations for Associate Member of APIRA (AMA)
-
Attending member meetings;
-
Providing survey results and findings on local Internet
or related issues to APIRA and its website;

Recommending and promoting new member organizations;

Publicizing APIRA, maintaining the image of APIRA and spreading
the influence of APIRA;

Proposing reasonable suggestions for the development of
APIRA;

Coordinating other members in a friendly manner;
6.
Secession of Membership
-
In case of seceding from APIRA, the member shall submit
written application to the secretariat at least two months
in advance. The Board shall make a decision on the application
before the applied secession date;

Those who are in violation of APIRA objectives, and can
not be persuaded;
-
Those who are failed in performing member's obligations,
and can not be persuaded;
For RMA - if not to attend APIRA member meeting and any
activities including the joint survey for one year with
no appropriate reason stated, a RMA will lose its voting
rights and regular membership. It turns to an AMA thereafter.
If attending all activities in the next year, the rights
can be recovered accordingly and it becomes a RMA again.
If the organization does not attend APIRA member meeting
and any activities including the joint survey for consecutive
two years, its membership will be automatically deprived.
For AMA - with no appropriate reason stated, if not to attend
APIRA member activities for consecutive two years, an AMA
would be dismissed from APIRA automatically.

Those who are disorganized or going bankrupt.

The APIRA secretariat will send an official notifying letter
to the dismissed organization with the signature of the
APIRA Chair.
