3. APIRA Membership

  1. Membership Categories
    there are currently two types of Member Status for each APIRA member:

    Regular Member of APIRA (RMA);
    Associate Member of APIRA (AMA)

  2. About the membership
    there can be only one RMA from one country/region whereas more than one AMA from the same country/region can join APIRA; the Board is the only authority of APIRA to decide whether an applicant organization should join APIRA as RMA or AMA. All RMAs are obligated to carry out the APIRA joint surveys whereas all AMAs are not responsible for conducting such surveys.

  3. The adjustment of membership status
    The Board has the right to turn the status of a member of APIRA from RMA to AMA, or Vise Versa. This decision will be made upon the annual evaluation of the member by the Board.

  4. The APIRA secretariat will send an official notifying letter to the approved organization with the signature of the APIRA Chair.

4. Rights

  1. Attending member meetings;

  2. Publicizing research achievements on member meetings;

  3. Sharing information among member organizations, possessing the right to use the information with indication of the source.

  4. Applying for hosting member meetings;

  5. Applying for becoming board member;

  6. Supervising work of the Board.
