The Board of Directors ("the Board") is
the decision-making body of APIRA. The Board shall
consist of one Chair and one deputy Chair who are
elected from the Board members. The regular term of
the chair shall be 2 (two) years.

The initial Board is composed of delegates from initial
organizations. The future adjustments of the board
members shall be determined by the Board, but at most
1(one) person from each member organization can join
the Board.

The Board membership shall go to the representatives
of regular member organizations. In case a Board member
resigns from the member organization, the regular
member organization may nominate another representative
to the Board, while the eligibility of the new representative
shall be decided under the agreement among directors
of the Board.

Duties
of the Board:
1)
Establishing and revising the constitution of APIRA;
2) Selecting the Chair of the Board and approving
the selection of the Secretary-General of APIRA;
3) Deciding the accession and secession of APIRA members;
4) Determining the host organization of each member
meeting;
5) Proposing and making decisions on significant issues.
6) To prompt APIRA and recruit more members in Asia-Pacific
region.

Duties of the Chair of the Board
1)
Convening and chairing board meetings;
2) Nominating the Secretary-General of APIRA;
3) Coordinating relationship among APIRA members;
4) Other obligations that are issued by the Board.

Duties of the Deputy Chair the Board:
1)Be
responsible for the Chair of the Board, and assists
the work of the Chair;
2)Convening and chairing board meetings in case of
absence of the Chair;

Obligations of the Board members:
1) To actively
participate in and support all activities of APIRA;
2) The board meeting should not be held with over 1/3
of all Board members are absent;
3) Decisions to elect the Chair of the Board shall require
a 2/3 vote of all board members;
4) Resolutions of the board meeting shall require a
2/3 vote of all Board members.
